Avril Ramona Lavigne Loshaw was born in Belleville the 27th, September, 1984 in Belleville, Ontario, Canadá. Her parents Claude and Judy Lavigne were devout christians, and she has a little sister called Michelle and a eldest brother called Matt. Avril started to sing when she was five with her mother and a piano, and later at church. In August 1998 she won an Ottawa contest for sing with Shania Twain "What Made You Say That".
In 2006 she married with Deryck Whibley in Montecito (California). Unfortunately they divorced in 2009.
When she was 16 Avril moved to New York for be inspired and write. There "Network", a managers company sign up her. In 2002 whith seventeen she released her first CD: "Let Go". With this album she was a great succes. She sold more than 19 million of copies and 8 Grammy's nominations.
Her second disc called "Under My Skin" came out on 25th September, 2004. It sold much copies too (10 millions). And she won five Juno Awards, two MTV Awards y two World Music Awards. Her third disc was "The Best Damm thing". It came out on 17th April, 2007. It wasn't her most sold disc, but it's the most famous. It song "Girlfriend" is one of the most popular in the world!Her fourth disc called "Goodbye Lullaby" came out on 8th March, 2011. It is succesful and one of it songs, "Alice" belongs to the famous film "Aliice in Wonderland".
But she has done more other things. She co-wrote the song "Breakaway" (sung by Kelly Clarkson) for the film "Diary of a princess 2" and she wrote the soundtrack of the SpongeBob's film. She acts too. Her first part was in "Sabrina". Later in "Over The Hedge". But her most important part was in "Fast Food Nation" in 2006. She also has a clothing line called "Abbey Dawn" and two fragrances: "Black Star" and "Forbidden Rose".
She is one of my favourites singers! I love hers songs!
